- 2014 activity

The Association held its Spring Reception on 2 March 2014 at the Hong Kong City Hall Maxim Palace Restaurant.

Between 8 March and 10 March 2014 Directors returned to Shunde to “sweep the tomb” of ancestors and strengthen liaison with fellow clansmen. During the trip, they also donated to community welfare, visited the Shunde Ming Yuen Tong Dental Centre of Daliang Hospital ; Daliang Yilian Home for the Aged and Shunde Museum.

Sponsored the 2014 General Practice/Family Medicine Conference for Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan organized by the Hong Kong College of Family Physicians, and facilitated 4 healthcare personnel from Daliang Hospital to attend.

Presidents Andrew Lau and Sin Man Lok, Hon. Secretary Cletus Lau and Asst. Hon. Treasurer Hoffmann Lau and their spouses represented the Association to attend the 9th World Congress of Shunde Clansmen held in London; from 8 July to 10 July to exchange experiences and strengthen liaison with fellow clansman associations across the world. The opportunity was also taken to establish contacts with associates participating in the Congress thereby promoting the aim and scope of activities of Min Yuen Tong.

Between 24 and 26 October 2014 Directors returned to Shunde to “sweep the tomb” of ancestors and strengthen liaison with fellow clansmen. During the trip, they also donated to community welfare, visited the Daliang Fengcheng Home for the Aged and Daliang Hospital Shun Tak District Min Yuen Tong Oral Heath Centre.

The Association held its 139th Anniversary Reception on 9 November 2014 at the Hong Kong City Hall Maxim Palace Restaurant.
