2016 activity

Facilitated Professor Tsoi Nai Shun to lecture the medical and nursing staff of Shunde Maternal and Child Health Hospital, and help up-grade the specialist child medical care service.

The Association held its Spring Reception on 28 February 2016 at the Hong Kong City Hall Maxim Palace Restaurant.

On 17 March 2016, Shunde District Daliang Social Work Department and Daliang Charity Organization visited Min Yuen Tong.

Between 8 and 10 April 2016 Directors returned to Shunde to “sweep the tomb” of ancestors and strengthen liaison with fellow clansmen. During the trip, they also donated to community welfare, visited the Feng Cheng Home for the Aged and Charity Supermarket .

Presidents Arthur Lau, Anthony Lau, and Andrew Lau, Vice Chairman Lawrence Lo and their spouses, Hon. Secretary Hoffmann Lau, Asst. Hon. Treasurers Anthony Sin and Wong Wing Kin and his spouse represented the Association to attend the 10th World Congress of Shunde Clansmen held in Shunde from 22 to 24 April 2016 to exchange experiences and strengthen liaison with fellow clansman associations across the world. The opportunity was also taken to establish contacts with associates participating in the Congress thereby promoting the aim and scope of activities of Min Yuen Tong.

During the trip, they also donated to community welfare, attended the 30th Anniversary Ceremony of Daliang Fengcheng Home for the Aged and Opening Ceremony of Daliang Hospital Shun Tak District Min Yuen Tong Heath Management Centre.

The Association held its 141th Anniversary Reception on 20 November 2016 at the Hong Kong City Hall Maxim Palace Restaurant, and staged various donation ceremonies on the occasion.
